The AIBI Executive Team

Chief Executive Officer – Mr Stephen Andrews (MEd, BEd)

I have worked within education for the past 37 years, initially in the secondary sector working in areas such as accreditation and registration, compliance and quality, and school review and development. This was followed by a brief period within the vocational sector as a manager, and more recently in higher education taking on the role of Deputy Head of Billy Blue College of Design, Quality and Risk Manager at Think Colleges, and Director of Academic Services at Torrens University Australia.

Throughout my career I have been passionate about the quality of the student experience and student outcomes, seeking and seizing opportunities for professional and organisation development, and building an amazing team to support these endeavours. I believe that as a leader, ‘service’ is the key to success. I recall the wise words of a previous manager, If service is beneath you, then leadership is beyond you.

Dean – Dr Julian de Meyrick (MBA, PhD, FAMI)

I have 25 years’ experience in marketing major international brands of both products and services. I also have extensive experience at senior levels of teaching and administration in higher education, in both the public and private sectors. From this experience, I have developed a deep commitment to ensuring the success and wellbeing of all students in our care but, in particular, international students in higher education.

Head of Finance – Mr Jim Lau (CPA)

I have worked within education industry for the past 5 years, initially in the VET sector working as management accountant and more recently as the Head of Finance with AIBI HE.
The most interesting part of my job is finding a way to transform raw financial data into valuable information to support decision making and strategic directions, and in so doing set AIBI HE up for continued success.
